Workshops in my Studio

The workshops will be for 4 students at a time. They will run from 10.30am - 4pm and normally be held on a Saturday. However 4 people getting together can arrange a weekday to suit them.

Cost £55 each. This includes a simple vegetarian lunch.

Introductory Course

Learn the basics of making ceramic jewellery and buttons. Clay rolling, cutting, joining, piercing and fettling will be taught. Templates will be used in the creation of pendants, brooches, earrings, beads and buttons. We will explore ways of decorating the jewellery that include impressed decoration and the use of acrylic paints.

Colour Decoration Course

This course builds on the skills learnt in the Introductory Course. I will introduce students to a variety of decorating techniques based on coloured slips which can then be applied to ceramics large or small.
